Gail Nickel-Kailing, Managing Director
A business advisor and problem solver, I have been “in the trenches.” Seven years of independent consulting, adjunct executive services, and senior positions in a variety of technology and service companies and the US Postal Service, have given me hands-on experience and insight into the challenges of designing, producing, and distributing marketing collateral and other communication documents.
I have a special interest in the use of technology to design, acquire, produce, and distribute business communication and promotional materials; and a clear understanding of technology’s impacts, capabilities, and limitations.
A nationally recognized speaker on a wide range of subjects, I bring enthusiasm and a unique blend of experience to the podium. And as an industry analyst and journalist contributing to publications in the US, Canada, India, and Brazil, I’ve covered a number of “beats,” particularly printing and mailing, including print on demand, variable data printing, and direct mail.
Public Speaking
I’m available for speaking engagements for user conferences, seminars, and association meetings; some of my past presentations include:
- True Confessions: I Have 24 Names and I’m a Mail List Manager’s Worst Nightmare! Who needs “Databases for Dummies” or “Mailing Lists for Morons,” this presentation is for marketing professionals who use and manage name and address databases for their companies or for outside clients.
- Don’t Mail Junk Mail! How to insure that you reach the right person at the right time with the right offer at the right price!
- Don and Martha Had It Right. Peppers and Rogers believed in the early 90s that one-to-one marketing was the key to increasing your revenue and profit and it only took a decade and a half for technology to catch up!
- Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Marketing Yourself in Your Own Company. For any one who wants to move up, or out, here’s some great advice to get started.
