The Mac “Mini-Me” – Is It Coming?

On August 13, 2007, my life changed! A trip to the Apple Store resulted in my going home with a MacBook Pro and a new iPhone (at the early adopter premium price). I left the world of PCs and entered the world of “Mac.”

Ever since that day, I’ve been dreaming of a “mini-me” mash up of those two into a tablet small enough to drop in my purse and yet powerful enough to let me do my usual email/web browsing and a little light note-taking at interviews.

Something like that may be in the works, though anything Apple might do in the future is always a matter of speculation and fantasy. (Read the article)

Bibliophilia Means Having to Store 1000s of Books

Bibliophilia (thank goodness for Wikipedia!):

One who loves to read, admire and collect books, often amassing a large and specialized collection. The bibliophile is usually an avid book collector, sometimes pursuing scholarship in the collection…

Well, that pretty well describes the two human residents of our household! And as the number of books grows, the number of shelves needed to store those books also grows. The four-legged residents could care less!

While we have settled on more traditional bookshelves – simple, wood, and portable – here are some more unusual approaches to the storage of books. (Read the article)
