A Pat on the Back!

Some nice comments from PrintWorthy Advice,” a blog written by Marc Fors, Managing Director, Prospect Smarter, for the print sales professional. While I blush a little, here’s what he had to say:

And then it occurred to me… if you really want an education on all things print, the trends, the pioneers, the buzz, and the new technology ..and you need to do in order to get up to speed quickly is to grab about 10-15 of the PDF articles on WTT (WhatTheyThink.com) written by Gail Nickel Kailing, Cary Sherburne, or Barb Pellow or ones on their own websites. Save yourself a cool $100K and skip a meeting with the big name consulting groups. What all three of these people have in common is the ability to convey complex issues in a clear manner, they are on top of their industry, on top of their game and willing to share expertise.

(Then he says…)

A round of applause please for these three oracles of print.

I’ve never been called an “oracle of print” before!

2008 - The Year of New Beginnings

The beginning of each new year is the time to contemplate friends and colleagues; those who helped make 2007 successful and those I’ve rediscovered and reconnected with. Thanks for all of you!

The Symbol of the RatThe Chinese New Year of 2008 - the Year of the Rat - marks a period of new beginnings because the Rat is the first symbol of the calendar cycle. This should be an especially good year to start something new since in the Chinese culture the number 8 is the most auspicious of all lucky numbers. May all your new beginnings be profitable in the wyas you wish for and work for!

In this year of new beginnings, I have repositioned my business, launched a new website, and started this blog. I look forward to assisting companies to find cost savings, improve efficiencies, and implement environmentally sound processes for the use of direct mail, incoming and outgoing office email, and marketing collateral.

Please join the conversation as I observe trends, identify new technology, and comment on developments in the graphic communications industry - printed and digital, mailed and emailed.

All the best for the New Year!
